One of the most important issues that has attracted the attention of all theorists from the perspective of strategic studies is the role of the two countries of Iran and the United States and the use of opposing models in the West Asian regional environment in the past decade. The question is, what models have influenced the duel between Iran and the United States in the West Asian regional environment in the past decade? It seems that the duel between Iran and the United States in the West Asian regional environment in the past decade has always been the use of opposing models against each other, using the pressure levers they have at their disposal to contain each other. The present study has been developed in terms of its developmental purpose (the ability to be exploited by the relevant organizations) and of an applied type, with a qualitative-interpretative method and a descriptive-analytical approach. The findings of the study show that the United States, by exerting pressure on the West Asian regional environment, has been a counter-model and a non-aligned actor to contain and isolate Iran. Iran has also always used a preventive and deterrent foreign policy in response to the structured US strategy in the West Asian regional environment. Iran has tried to neutralize the US Pan-American policy by using trends such as structural ideology (strategic and strategic patience), regional space packaging (heating up the space of US interests in the region).
