In the information age, the power of organizations—especially intelligence and security organizations—depends more than ever on their ability to effectively generate, store, process, and share information. As entities with critical missions in ensuring national security, intelligence and security organizations must adhere to precise, secure, and intelligent requirements for data and information exchange. Given the complexity of modern threats, the increasing volume of classified data, and the need for rapid and accurate decision-making in crisis situations, identifying efficient and effective requirements in the field of information sharing is an unavoidable necessity. To this end, this study seeks to answer the primary research question: “What are the intelligence sharing requirements in intelligence and security organizations?”—examining both software and hardware dimensions. This research is applied in terms of purpose, descriptive in terms of methodology, and qualitative in approach. The statistical population consists of 15 senior officials and managers of the country’s intelligence and security organizations, all holding at least a master’s degree and possessing twenty years of work experience, selected through purposive and total population sampling. In-depth interviews were conducted with them. The findings of this study indicate that intelligence sharing in intelligence organizations is a strategic yet challenging process, and it is most effective when designed and implemented based on specific, multi-layered, and balanced requirements among security, speed, accuracy, and transparency.
