The Islamic Security Doctrine, as a comprehensive framework for ensuring security based on Islamic values, has always been of interest to scholars and policymakers. The realization of this doctrine in the Islamic Republic of Iran requires the formulation of macro-strategies to enhance security within the framework of Islamic principles. Accordingly, the present study aims to design and formulate the macro-strategies of the Islamic Security Doctrine within the ecosystem of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This research is developmental-applied in terms of its purpose and qualitative in terms of data nature. Semi-structured interviews were conducted to collect data, involving ten experts in the fields of security, Islamic thought, and macro-policy. The research data were organized through three stages: initial coding, theme integration, and extraction of macro-strategies using thematic analysis. Subsequently, the impact and interrelation coefficients of the findings were analyzed using the Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) approach to determine strategic priorities. The results indicate that the realization of the Islamic Security Doctrine necessitates three macro-strategies, prioritized as follows: (1) sustainable security through fostering public participation in security, (2) integrating security and progress within the national security intelligence system, and (3) establishing an expanded monotheistic discourse as the foundation of security intelligence architecture. Under these macro-strategies, six sub-strategies were identified for the first strategy, three for the second, and three for the third. The findings of this study can serve as a framework for policymaking and planning to realize the Islamic Security Doctrine in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
