The heterogeneous society of the Zionist regime consists of diverse ethnic and racial groups such as Ashkenazi, Sephardi, Mizrahi, Russian-origin Jews, Falasha, and Arab citizens of 1948, as well as followers of various religions and denominations including Judaism, Islam, Christianity, Druze, and others. Therefore; This study, by using a descriptive and analytical approach, seeks to answer the fundamental question: At what levels do the societal cleavages in the Zionist society exist, and how do the conflicts and internal fractures—particularly ethnic and religious cleavages—affect the weakening and vulnerability of this regime? It is worth mentioning; this ethnic, racial, religious, and denominational diversity has led to persistent and deep internal divisions within the regime, even after more than seventy years since its establishment. One of the most significant and long-standing cleavages in Zionist society—present since the founding of the regime in 1948 and growing deeper over time—is the polarization between different social groups centered around religion, namely the confrontation between ultra-Orthodox religious groups (Haredim) and the secular citizens of the Zionist society. The findings and results of the research indicate that the heterogeneous nature of the society and the deep social divisions within the Zionist regime—especially ethnic and religious cleavages—have led to its vulnerability and weakening, and ultimately may result in its internal collapse. To support the data, the study attempts to utilize the three-level theory of social cleavages proposed by Manza and Brooks.
