Abstract

Israel's need for strategic deepening by using the geopolitical advantages of Cyprus and the need of the Republic of Cyprus to balance against its rivals, have made the relationship between the two to be elevated to the level of strategic partnership. Based on this, the present article, by applying the theory of the balance of power of Kent Waltz and with a descriptive-explanatory method, tries to answer the main question, what are the risks of the strategic relations of the Zionist regime with the Republic of Cyprus, especially in light of the role of Cyprus in the Gaza war, for the resistance axis? The findings of the research show that the strategic relations between the Zionist regime and the Republic of Cyprus lead to an increase in the resilience and flexibility of the Zionist regime, as well as disrupting the process of Iran's presence in the region. These conditions have practically shown themselves during the Gaza war; So that during the Gaza war, Cyprus, in addition to supporting operations against the axis of resistance, providing war logistics and information needed from the axis of resistance, de-governance of the resistance in Gaza, creating a defense ring to protect the Zionist regime and creating a bridgehead for entering of manpower to occupied Palestine, has provided the conditions for the attack of the American-British coalition on Ansarullah in Yemen and the confrontation of the Zionist regime with the operation of the Islamic Republic of Iran's True Promise.
