"Vaadeh Sadegh" Operation and a Phenomenological Understanding of Islamic Republic of Iran Nature of Deterrence in the Regional Relations

Abstract

. In the current situation, this issue has deepened the scope of security threats on two fronts in such a way that since the operation of October 7, 2023 under the title of Al-Aqsa Storm and then the terrorist operation of the Zionist regime in the martyrdom of Iranian soldiers in the Syrian embassy, for the first time Several times, massive rocket attacks were carried out under the name of Sadiq's promise against the positions of the Zionists in the occupied areas. Carrying out such an operation, which was carried out for the first time, overshadowed many security equations in the region. Based on this, the aim of the current research is to design a model of security deterrence in the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran based on the "Vaadeh Sadegh" Operation. The research approach is qualitative and descriptive phenomenological. The statistical community included 20 experts in regional fields, international relations, geopolitics and political science. The samples were selected in a purposeful manner and the sample size was determined to be 16 according to the qualitative nature of the research until data saturation. Analysis and analysis of the interview data was done by the Van Manen method and based on the three steps of data coding, the data were continuously reviewed and refined. After analyzing the findings, 29 codes were extracted, which were categorized into two main categories: legal challenges and security-military challenges. For each of the legal and security-military challenges, 4 main categories were identified.
